Emergency First Aid for Schools
This specially designed programme has been adapted from the HSE Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) course to meet the needs of people who work within a school setting. The syllabus includes all content from the 1 day Emergency First Aid at Work course and includes additional subjects likely to be faced by first aiders' working within a school. The core content covers the basic essentials required to provide emergency care to a patient

Course Description
This basic first aid training course is designed for school children who have no prior understanding of first aid. It provides pupils with a basic theoretical and practical knowledge of how to deal with first aid emergencies at home in the playground or anywhere an accident may occur. All pupils will enjoy this relaxed and fun approach to learning, led by an experienced instructor who fully understands individual learning needs. This first aid course will give participants the confidence to deal with first aid emergencies. All students who attend this first aid course will be provided with a first aid booklet, which will assist their understanding of the course content. Each student will also receive a basic first aid pack to take home. This course is tailored to meet your school’s timetable and course requirements. The course will also be modified dependant on the age group of the students (Primary school course or Secondary school course). The course is suitable for 8-16 year old.
